Join us on Monday 27th June as we welcome Marco Fay, one of the greatest wine makers in Valtellina for a very exciting and original tasting at the Wine shop.
The Azienda Agricola Fay was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay who, starting from a small family-run wine producing business, decided to expand the estate’s activities.
Construction work began in 1971 on the winery’s premises in San Giacomo di Teglio and in the following years the vineyards were extended by incorporating several additional plots of land. Since 1998, Sandro has been flanked by his children Marco and Elena.
the estate are committed to promoting single vineyards, which, due to their different soils and altitudes, produce wines with distinctive characteristics.
Valtellina is the biggest mountain vineyard terraced area in Italy. The native grape variety grown here is Nebbiolo, locally called Chiavennasca. The vines are grown at an altitude between 350 and 900 metres.
Tickets are priced at £20 per person, including some cheese and charcuterie boards to accompany the wines. To book, or for more information, please contact 0203 195 8234 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
